iPhone 4 vs iPod classic vs iPod touch

Thread Starter

Just wondering if anyone knows whether there is a difference in hardware between the listed...I.e. quality difference between them?

Found only 1 other forums with a couple answers to the question and that's it, saw no discussion here so figured this would be the correct place to post :) forgive me if it's in incorrect place in forums lol

Anyways the couple mere answers I got were completely opposite of each other so I was just left in confusion, 1 person said there is no hardware changes between all of them so no quality difference and another blogger said exact opposite....

From what I've personally experienced, there is little difference between players, but you may find the quality of the EQs on the iPod to be sub-par. In other words: Player with a good EQ>Player with a bad EQ (the iPod presets.)

Does this article help? Per the article, the devices with the Wolfson chips tend to have better sound quality than the Cirrus ones.

My old iPod is at the top of the list. L3000.gif
