@lee730: Yes, the Studio V pairs very well with the 8.A.  I had the Studio (v1) with the 8.A and it was awesome (and that was the initial version of the Studio with all of the hiss complaints, etc.).  I now have the Studio V and it's even better with little to no hiss, depending on the source, so your 3rd Anniversary should be perfect.

@spkrs01: Congrats on your beautiful newborns beerchug.gif

Very nice looking Sprks! From the looks of the 6As you also have some cavernous ear-canals ;).

Ahh so you have the second generation of Studio V and you barely have any hiss? Wow if that is the case the 8A may be black with it then... Sweet! The 3rd ANV reduced the hiss on the second generation by about 65 to 70% :).

I honestly don't hear any hiss once the music starts, especially with well-mastered new music (electronic, hip-hop, pop).  With some classical sources (live jazz, orchestra), I don't know if the hiss is coming from the recording mics or just ambient chamber noise, so it's hard to say.  But, once the music gets going, any apparent hiss doesn't bother me or I just don't hear it.

Well I know it's from the amp section on the player. You are right though that when music is playing generally (like 99.99% of the time) it is a none-issue. For me when I first put the player on with my 1Plus2s I can hear hiss for less than a minute and after that its just disappears. But it seems the 8As are a bit harder to drive and in that maybe it won't even be audible during no music playback either! :) I'll keep you posted on how that works out. smily_headphones1.gif

I'm gonna put a little-hold on that route for now lol. I'm tempted but I need to get my finances in order before I can go on another mystical journey lol (never ending story) :P

I'll fill you all in on how well it pairs and in terms of hiss. Would be amazing if there is no hiss! I believe Sunninho on how well it will pair as is; my IE80 paired extremely well on it. For the most part laid-back sound signatures really excel on such a player :).

Thank you!

I am looking forward to reading the forthcoming 8A impressions too. In my mind at the moment, Studio V 3rd Ani. with the 8A and the Colorfly C4pro with the 6A.

But I will try all the alternatives, with the DX100 and I am hoping to buy the Tera Player too..........
