Me three - my 8.A's are in for a bit of work and I'm seriously craving them back. I'm appreciating my 4.Ai more and more but dammit I miss that special 8.A sound... Lush, but never muddy. Smooth but oh so detailed. A treble that never stops climbing, yet never gets piercing or fatigueing... Oh and did I mention the bass? Tight, fast and controlled but with depth and impact unmatched by anything else I've heard.

Trust me guys, the wait is even harder if you've already had a taste of what is to come.

These are the best headphones that I have heard in a long time! Wizard, you are a god among men. These things literally blow all the Westone series IEMs out of the water!

I have yet to compare my pairs of 4A and Westone W3. Wonder if I should...

I got an email from Sunny yesterday asking me to clarify my design.

So I guess mine are now being put together - I reckon I should get them within the next 2 weeks....maybe sooner. biggrin.gif

Cheers. That's very insightful. I would expect replacing the whole filter will result in opening up the shell.

I ordered my 4.As during the Black Friday sale and my impressions arrived in China Christmas day.

Just found this in my inbox today! Gun metal blue and buckeye burl!

Excited would be an understatement for me right now.

What work are you having done to them? In for a cleaning?
