It'd take a massive amount of wax to go that deep past the filter, the easiest way to diagnose is to listen if the sound gets kind of clogged up on one side, unless you punched through all 4 filters on both sides.

I'd love to hear Heir's solution to this problem as well.

case by case situation, but we have tiny vacumn cleaners here

suck the wax out, pull the damper membrane out, and place a new one.... that would be the ideal situation

...without damaging the drivers or having your vacuum cleaner eat your $400+ customs, that is! biggrin.gif

So you are pulling the old filter (both the metal ring and membrane) out and put a new one in? That's gonna take lots of effort!

Is Heir Audio still doing reshells? When I bought my 4.a, 6.a, and 8.a I also had some re-shells done. I have a couple more things I want reshelled but don't see the option in the order form any more.

No usually one would leave the retainer ring in place, pull the mesh out, and place another one back into the retainer ring, again this is a ideal situation, and it is always case by case.

A list of compatible third party tips with the Heir Audio universals:

  • Comply T-200
  • Comply T-500
  • Meelec bi-flanges
  • Sony Hybrids

Thought the numbers refer to hole size, so how does both T-200 and T-500 fit? Unless am wrong on that

Need to top up Comply supply for all my IEM... :/

Hi everyone, i am interested in Heir Audio iem products. I am coming from the Vsonic Gr07's and Brainwavz B2 in which i find one of my favorite IEM's. Im wondering which IEM would be an overall performer than the Gr07's and Brainwavz B2. I was thinking of trying out the Sony MDR Ex1000. But everyone says they are over priced. I want something with alot of energy. Very engaging, with decent bass. Which Heir Audio IEM would fit me best???

I listen to Jazz, and RnB Soul. ^^

Could one use a suction bulb as you might use with an infant to suck out debris, or is a tiny powered vacuum really necessary?
For universals I assume the tips will help collect wax rather than let it in the bore directly.

Are you going after a Custom or a Universal fit? The 4A or 4Ai may be what you want.

Anyone have a comparison of the Heir 3.Ai vs the Yamaha Eph-100? I want to know if its the right upgrade path for me haha

My 4.ai's just came today, and I cannot describe how good these sound! I was a little worried at first, but when I put them in L3000.gif. These are the best headphones that I have heard in a long time! Wizard, you are a god among men. These things literally blow all the Westone series IEMs out of the water!

I think the universal fit? How does the 4ai compare to the Vsonic Gr07

You could probably get more impressions from eke regarding that. But he is a GR07 fanboy ;).
