Anyway joking aside I was just letting you guys no what was going on and i am pretty darn excited....

you hum it and we'll play it to your tune (ICF stylie)... obviously if you're a Hammers fan you are completely covered by the ICF 'Life Assurance' policy and none of this will matter to you.

back to the 4.Ai's, your review with portable sources used would be real welcomed.bigsmile_face.gif

Arsenal to the end mate ;)

Yes, okay i will do all the sound quality part of my review with my portable amps and sources.

I have received them now and the unboxing video has been made, it is going online as we speak. I will take some pictures hopefully in better quality than the video as well so you can see how beautiful these really are!

Now to get some listening time!

Great! Can you please tell me which kind of eartips does the 4.Ai bring?

Could someone from Heir please comment?

They are not slightly smaller but a lot smaller.  The auditioning units that Jaben has, has a face plate with about the same surface area of my thumbnail, while the Ai series has a surface of about my ring finger  nail.  We considered placeing the socket outside of the shell, and locate it on the surface of the face plate, but even with that, there is still not enough room to place the 8 drivers in the houseing.

Sorry, it just can be done.

We get two pairs. Both are generic like silicone tips with a fairly large bore. They have a translucent grey outside and red inside as you can see on the pictures. The ones pre installed i would say are medium or perhaps medium/small and the other pair would be roughly a large. You also get a cleaning tool. some silica gel and a otterbox 2000 case.

gosh~ that was really confusing

I did explain what their purpose was for in the post were i put up the picture. I also put a few reason why they are not 'universal' in that post.

Thanks! I don't get along well with silicone tips (confort and fit issues, and I tried many)! And that's why I just use foam tips with all my IEM's! Can you please tell me the dimension of that nozzle/bore? To see if I can find any foams that will fit, before I can even think of buying them... redface.gif

Actually the first initial batch that went out only got 2 pairs etc.

The subsequent Ai will have 3 different types of tips, a total of 9 pairs of tips.

The canal portion has an OD of about 6 mm

Awesome! Do you mind stating what the 3 varieties will be?

Fair enough, i personally prefer them so much more than foam tips. Not a fan of Comply at all.

Do not worry the tip thing should not stop you. I just went into my Comply collection and stuck some TS200 on them. They fit on perfectly. So whatever the bore size that is, i would say 5mm but it is near impossible to measure (with the tape i have got). I think it will be bigger that that to be honest but whatever the TS200 is. I would say that it is the same nozzle size as my ASG-1.

Thanks! Any thoughts on including some foams with the package in the future? Some like me can only stand foam tips inside the ears... smile.gif

I will say that i have been wearing them since i stated that the unboxing video is going up and i am very impressed so far. More on sound and stuff a bit later but i will say that you may not mind silicone tips with these. I say this because they way that these fit, which i can only guess is like a custom, the point of the tip is really only to achieve the seal and you do not really feel it. These rotate deep into your ears nicely and you only have to use a small tip to achieve the seal.

Okay guys, the unboxing video is live so i hope you enjoy it and can see how beautiful these things are!
