Conductor + LCD 2 = LOVE

 

Seriously now, the synergy is great. One of the best buying decisions I've made for some time. Right next to the LCD 2's, the iBasso DX100, the Heir Audio 5.0+ (on their way) and the RSA Intruder (on its way). :)

I'll be loaning some 3.ai's next week to get an idea of the Heir sound. No 5.0s available to do so, but I'm sure there will be plenty of peeps who have auditioned both and will happily offer comparisons!

My V200 normally pairs with the matching V800 DAC. But the V200 is super versatile and I end up using it with all of my DACs at some point: currently the Resonessence Labs Invicta, Anedio D2, Matrix X-Sabre, Yulong D18, NuForce DAC-100, Firestone Audio Tobby, and probably some others that I'm forgetting. 

 

Miracles were the best IEM I had heard at that point. Now they are probably down a few spots compared to the 8.A, 6.A LE, JH13 FreqPhase, Westone ES5, and maybe even the Merlin and Lear LCM-5. But at that level it's more about matching sound signature preferences as raw performance should be good across the board.

Which DAC do you pair with the 8.As most frequently?

 

To be honest, I'm pretty lazy, so often I'll plug straight in to the headphone section of my Resonessence Invicta or Anedio D2. Those are both reference level amps when driving less difficult loads like IEMs. 

 

When using the V200, I lean towards the Invicta lately. It's the best DAC I've ever heard. Anything more on the neutral side is a good match though.

Damn you, Heir Audio! After a couple of weeks of burning in/listening to my 8.A you have proven to me that there is something to trump my speakers.
More detail in bass, easier distinguishable instruments.
I think I have to upgrade my home cinema speaker system sometime in the future.
Thanks for the levelling up in my hearing experience.

Recommendation to everyone: Buy a pair of 8.A, if you can afford it.
