If there's some serious bass in a recording, I've heard that the 8.a is perfect for when you want to homogenize your brain ;) (in a good way) :)

EDIT:

YAY! :D

The 5.0's are officially on Heir's website! :D

I've updated my YT VBlog with my 4A's. If anyone is interested in my very early sound impressions feel free to read the descriptions section under the video. I've added some background music to the video but that will take a bit of time for YT to update so be forgiving of the bland quiet video until YT finally gets around to updating it.

Understand where you are coming from. You just have to make the decision based on whether the 8.A is exactly what you want. If it is, then sometimes, some service issues may have to be tolerated. But if you can find the same / similar thing elsewhere, then the question is whether you are happy with going elsewhere for it. I would based on customer service being important to me.

I recently ordered a case for my Note 2 and read all about how a particular company were particularly unresponsive when it came to shipping issues. Everyone already bought the product etc, and they just didn't hear back. It was a PR disaster of sorts because it was a "cheap" product in the grand scheme of things, and there are many alternatives to be found.

With CIEMs, that's a different story. The amount we pay may "demand" that we have better service, but to the same end, some of it may be relaxed because they can do so (for various reasons).

I'm sure someone will get back to you. It seems actually airing about it here also does seem to get the attention that one requires, more often than not (seeing that the product is championed here a fair bit).

If you really want the 8.A, then go for it. If you can live with something else and service is really important to you, then head some where else. The most important thing is though, are you happy with what you end up with? In the audio industry, and in every industry really, the main thing you should ask yourself is whether you are happy with what you have. For some, there may be a further question, are you only happy because you paid "x" for it, "x" being an arbitrary figure that heightens expectations giving it was a "huge" investment subjectively speaking.

Heir has gotten rave reviews, but to that same end, I've also read of bad experiences. Subjectively, everyone views and hears things differently. It all goes back to the all important question, "are you happy with what you have?"

I requested for EMS shipping and they did accommodate me on that.

Speaking of which, how long did it roughly take for your 8A to get delivered to you and did you get hit with stiff fees? I'm thinking of going with EMS next time around.

Considering you're in Singapore you have a little less to worry about them me who lives in central Canada or Lee who lives in Hawaii. You're a lot closer to china then we are.

Finally fired up the Hell Yeah CD by the Horrorpops and it's sounding particularly good on my 4A.

I also must admit, the 4A seems to sound quite good on my CLAS Leckerton combo.

So many gears and so little time.

It took about a week I think. Maybe a week and 3/4 days. I didn't get hit with Customs fees thankfully. I've never had that issue at all with USPS plus I don't have issues for the most part with USPS breaking my **** like UPS does. You ever saw the horror videos of UPS and Fedex lol. They'll hate me more I guess because the Alienware Area 51 is gonna be exchanged out for the 3rd time lol. I'll just call them to pick up the 90 lbs behemoth ;)....

That was someones TV :P.

The only complaint I have is that the box is too hard to open.
