Make sure you're inserting them correctly.  Your ears shouldn't get sore if they're in snug and tucked inside the upper front flap of your ears.  I had that problem, also, in the beginning until I saw pictures (in this thread) of how it's properly done.

Thanks for the advice.

I mis-worded what I meant. It is my ear canals getting sore, probably due to the shape of them, very rectangular-ish, so they can only go in one way. Once the IEM is in, the fit on both the 8A and 6A are near perfect. However, I seem to be getting some vacuum as I can not find a way to release the air, even when I am putting them in very slowly.

Also, just need to get used to the sensation of having something so deep in my ears

      Not necessarily true for all people as the turns and bends of the ear canal can be very severe among different people. Thus results vary, what my be true for you will not be true for others.

If a person has sharp turns or bends, and frequently inserts and remove CIEMs, they run the risk of irritating the tissue within the ear canal.

I got a bottle of Oto-Eze at the same time as my 4.A out of concern I might need it, but I don't. Since I have wet ear wax and I seem to be, um, naturally prone to sweating, moist skin hasn't been a problem there.

Good thing too, as my bottle of Oto-Eze was part of the batch that was later recalled for contamination.

After you've gotten used to wearing them, you'll figure out a way to "burp" them a little, by pushing them upward, or twisting them forward, or somesuch. Basically, momentarily break the seal to release the pressure without actually dislodging them from their spot. The optimal movement, I've found, depends on the IEM and very probably depends on ear shape too.

Though I've found it's good to get used to a little sensation of pressure or vacuum, because otherwise my 4.A feel like it's about to fall out, whether or not it actually is.

I managed to something similar earlier this evening and continued listening to the 8a for about an hour and a half. They are very comfortable once I have get them in and manage to dislodge some air......

I rutinely wear my 8.A's for 8 hours at a time... Perfect fit matched with the ultra flexible and light Magnus cable means they just "disappear" when I'm wearing them

 Mine don't dissapear.  While I am trying to work the 8a's keep calling attention to themselves with all of this detail and and bass and things I have never heard before that I close my eyes and get nothing done.  I have to go back the the TF-10 reshells to be productive without distraction and then I just sit there and wish I was wearing the 8a's.  Tough dilemma to be in, no?
