waiting for my 8.A's is getting painfull... First, something went terribly wrong in China, i think it was stuck for about 3 days.

Last Friday they finally arrived in Switzerland, but far away from my Town. And on sunday they were in Germany.... -.-

This morning they were again in Switzerland, and again in that other Town which is quite far away from here. I called

UPS and the lady said i will get them today. well, let's see if that is going to happen...

i have absolutely no Idea what UPS is doing... frown.gif

You should be more worried about how you take your ear impression. If you take it properly the result will be great.

UPS tracking is often defying time and space, going all over the place. I have a screenshot of their tracking page somewhere that shows a package arriving in Copenhagen (from China), then being back in Shanghai 2 hours later, then out for delivery here in Denmark the next day.

I've sometimes wondered what that thing looks like next to a standard production cIEM. It must be a monster.

Wasn't doubting your reasons for not offering recessed sockets, just pointing out that the cable looks a lot like it was made for such sockets. redface.gif

I was contemplating about whether I should get my impressions done in America or wait until I go back to Canada (which was about 3-4 weeks since I bought the 4.A's). I really did not want to postpone getting my 4.A's and really wanted to do impressions in NYC but if I would have fitting issues, then I'd have to shell out a lot more cash again with a new audiologist in Canada (because I won't be physically able to ask the same doctor again for a free impression as I won't be in NYC). I finally decided to wait these 3-4 weeks until I get back to Canada and then send the impressions to Heir Audio. The only downside is I'll have to wait longer to get the IEM's.

Oh alright then. If you change your mind, do consider using Andrew Resnick over at http://www.resnickaudiology.com/

He did a set of impressions for me last time I was in NYC - best fitting pair of CIEMs I've had. I liked how he was not going "wtf is CIEMs" but was well aware of how to do a proper mold for monitors rather than hearing aids.

I believe he's located on 58th.

I actually had an appointment with Dr.Resnick and I have been e-mailing him back and forth about the procedure. He's a great guy. I live 10 minute walk from him. Unfortunately, I decided to wait till I'm back in Canada. :( I really wanted to do it with Dr. Resnick though.

Aw, don't say that. You just need someone with ears of, er, the right size. biggrin.gif

I have received confirmation of my order with Heir from Sunny. Just need to get some ear impressions done now. Decided to leave everything to the Wizard regarding design but have chosen the shell colours:-

0115.jpgGun Metal Blue for the 8A

and

0108.jpg Dark Blue for the 6A

I would like to say, the customer service from Heir has been great. In particular, Sunny must be commended for the fast response and genuine interest in getting things done for for the customer!

Very happy thus far!

Announcement

The current 8.A sale (25% off) is being extended an additional month, until January 10th, in response to strong demand for the 8.A and as a celebration of what is more or less our 1-year anniversary. We hope this gives those folks who are undecided more time to make a decision, while also giving those who have yet to discover Heir Audio an opportunity to purchase a truly remarkable piece of HiFi gear at an unbelievable price.

Happy Holidays!

The Heir Audio Team
