Here we go guys!
Cool stuff!
Regarding the stock cable - it's pretty much identical to the cable that ships with most customs - Westone, JH Audio, 1964 Ears, Unique Melody, etc etc. There are minor variations like the Y split, the cinch, and the length of memory wire, but it remains the same basic cable. It's not the most high-tech looking cable you'll ever see but it certainly isn't sub-standard by any means.
The Jaben one is the only version I've seen with that "unravel" problem, so maybe they use a different OEM or something. None of mine have ever done that even after years of use.

No it is rather different to the normal custom cables like the one i have with my Aurisonics. Not only are the jack and y-split different but the cable feels quite a bit different as well. As you have said though it is nothing subpar and is an absolutely fine cable and i do see no reasons to replace it.
Hmm the DBA-02 cable stiffens and unravels but i have not had a braided cable for my self long enough to encounter problems but the ASG-1 cable i have is better than ever!
so for those who upgraded their cable to the magnus 1.
will the stock cable also be included?
It wasn't with my 8.A, I guess it won't be for the universals either. "Guess" being the operative word...
Ok. thanks for reply.
Any comment on the magnus 1 cable?
Yeah.
That makes sense...
Great to hear that. all these comment are making my wait even longer

I guess we can agree to disagree then. I've got a dozen or so custom IEMs with this type of cable, and all of them are very close to one another. The clear cables (like your Aurisonics) always feel different than the black ones.
When a customer upgrades to the Magnus 1, the stock cable is not included. This is true for both IEMs and CIEMs.

Hi there. Just to add something, the Heir Audio stock cable and the Aurisonics stock cable (and the JHA, UM, 1964 Ears, etc. stock cables) all come from the same manufacturer. They differ only in minor ways as the manufacturer allows minor variations in appearance and jack, but the cable itself is the same. I've been told that by two different custom iem manufacturers.
I have just got my Aurisonics out to have a look at the cable in more detail now and have just realised how silly i have been. They are indeed identical cables and although they feel a bit different i know that i will have nothing to worry about (not that i was). I am actually trying to think what made me see them as being different, the y-split and jack are even the same haha. Wow, its been a long day :P
