i think the price puts a lot of people off and everbody seems to be buying the shure ones for some reason...the ps1000s sound like a seven grand pair of performance 6 speakers easily worth the asking price you will be over the moon with them they are best headphones grado have done and that's saying something!

If you are referring to the normal bias SR Lambda, then I wholeheartedly agree - still top of the line Lambdas at a good price today.

Nope, AD1000PRM way better value per dollar than M50, I think?

This new 3-driver 3-way custom IEM looks good for $349, "the wizard" has displayed signs of fine workmanship in the past, this is a sign of custom IEM prices coming down to compete with universals - http://www.heiraudio.com/article_99.html

In universals, I think the Sony XBA-4, 4-driver, is also taking the prices down.

Koss KSC-75 I was shocked that 15 dollar headphones could sound that good!

My HM5s seem to be of a good value. You get very comfortable, nice sounding headphones with good isolation. The extra pair of pads and extra removable cable is always an added the bonus. Although bulky, I like the case too.

For speaker use: room treatment (e.g. acoustic foam bass traps)

or

Ear wax softener and/or syringe for irrigation cleaning

What did I win?

Magneplanar 3.7's.

+1 on the Maggie 3.7's, I use them as my L/R fronts.  My home theater setup is all Magnepan.  Their center channel speakers are incredible and you don't have to mortgage your house to get excellent planer imaging....!

I can't say enough about Magnepan speakers. I heard a pair of Revel Studio 2 at a dealer the other day. He told me these were his favourite speakers. The cost $20,000.00. I asked him for a listen. They were nice. The bass was impressive (no sub, no EQ). I have to say my maggies with my sub have a richer sweeter sound.

Long live Magnepans
