Whats up guys?
I'm a computer audio noob and I am getting kind of confused. I want to order a pair of Audioengine A5+ along with an Audioengine S8 subwoofer for my 2007 intel iMac.. this iMac has a headphone jack that acts as a digital out/TOSLINK/S/PDIF (are they all one in the same?).
After a little research I learned that I would need a DAC with volume control. I am interested in getting the uDAC2.
Would this configuration work? I am a noob like I said and I just wanted to make sure that everything was compatible and I wouldn't have any issues connecting everything.
iMac -> uDAC2 -> Audioengine A5+ -> AE S8
