hey all. i've been following headphones and earphones for quite a while but i'm pretty new to the amp/dac scene. i'm also learning about the different sources and i'm trying to soak it all up. my main question is: will i really benefit from the dacport? from what i read, it seems like the best bang for buck in terms of pure sound quality. my setup is just my macbook pro and jh16pro's and i listen to hip hop/ mainstream music in flac or 320kbps. my main concern is the type of music i listen to. i've heard that these types of music compress the music so much that high fidelity equipment won't really make a difference. is that true? i've also read about buying hybrid cd's and svcd and all that is going over my head. maybe this should be on the source forum...lol
so i guess my question should be: what can i upgrade in my setup for the next step? or do i really need to upgrade?
