Nah, the AD700 don't seem right. They lack bass and they will leak and I think they are hideous. By any chance, do you know if the sound card will provide some kind of virtual surround for closed-type?

Dolby Headphones and similar technologies works on any type of headphones, closed or open. Open is normally able to give a better sense of sound stage due to the lack of any sound waves bouncing around in the housing of the headphone, but it doesn't necessarily mean that closed can't give a good sound stage. Personally, I would suggest looking into a more dedicated sound card that supports the same technology -- you're probably paying for a lower quality gimmicky card that has less features than a normal sound card with the Turtle Beach, I haven't found too much bang for your buck in their products.

Also, open-back headphones will pretty much always leak. The whole purpose of being open-back is to let the sound waves out, meaning that they'll leak sound.

Thanks for the info, do you know of a good dedicated sound card under $80ish? Also my does "Dolby Sound Space Expander" work like virtual surround? I have this feature under my headphones options and wondering if it is the same?

So does anyone know of a good wound card that has the virtualized surround feature that would give the closed headphones a wider sound stage?

750 JD looks cool and can be worn out-doors. 840 is just in-door stuff.

Markel Mod can increase sound stage. You can do that do any closed phones actually, just damp the back of the drivers.
