Hi i am new at all of this and my head is full of questions so please help meredface.gif :) , so i just thought of buying the LCD-2 and as you know it's expensive (at least for me) so i really can't afford that much for amp/ADC I'm looking for solutions so will this headphone work without ADC\amp and beat the cheaper headphone like Denon D7000 ? or what about if i use Fiio e9/e7 combo for both of these headphone who will be better?,(even though i read that the lcd are not hard to drive and it's the top of the line). And i will buy the LCD2 next month i heard maybe by that time fiio E15 and E17 will come out will this be good enough for the lcd2 ? i really don't want to waste my money on lcd2 and find out it sound like cheap phones .BTW (excuse my poor english it is not my first languagebiggrin.gif)

Deep Funk has the following under his Amp inventory: "Fiio E11 (A keeper.)" Maybe try contacting him?

Oh no, don't do it ~ buy something else.

I can assure you that without a decent amp, the LCD-2 is not going to sound like a $1000,

sorry about that but no point in buying it and finding out the hard (read: expensive way)

If you're totally skint then a Fiio E9 will work ok, it's not fantastic, a little forward but

there is tonnes of volume on offer.

If you have the money for LCD2 but not enough to buy and amp for it than my suggestion would be, find a cheaper headphone and an amp to go along with it (if necessary).

LCD2 is not so demanding in terms of amplification, it means that it needs an amp but it easy to find a good pairing. but it does need an amp.

Your guess is as good as anyone else's at this point, but if I was a betting man then I'd say Shure

will continue their tradition of making a can that is easily amped, a current and voltage monster

 is unlikely, you'd hope!
