I am replacing my listening room with something I can enjoy anywhere in the house. My headphone choice is between the Grado 225i or the AT ATH-AD900. I would like to run my MP3 player through a better amp/dac (considering the Fiio E10), but am not sure I understand how they work.
1. If I run my MP3 player through the amp/dac, does it overide both the amp and dac on my MP3 player (that is what I want)?
2. If it does, giving me what I am looking for, can I run a headphone out (3.5 mm) from the MP3 player to a USB 2.0 (in the back of the E10 for example)? Would that accomplish what I am after?
