What to buy

First post, so please be gentle :)

Hello I'm looking to buy a 350$ or less pair of sennheiser headphones on amazon.com. I was originally planning to buy the hd 600 but then I heard that there would be no point in spending all that money because I do not have the proper equipment to fully use the potential of the hd 600. I listen to my music with my iMac, and am wondering what headphone should I buy instead of the hd 600 that would be used at the full potential when plugged into my mac unamped.

My favourite genres I listen to are rock, and some indie music, and I am looking or the most natural-sounding headphone within my budget.

btw the headphone msrp doesnt matter, what matters is the price thats actually being sold, like the price which amazon sells them at.

most headphones above the 300 mark will probably warrant some form of amplification. The hd598 is a great neutral sounding headphone that doesn't really have that sennheiser veil and does not require significant amplification.

are you certain that you are getting a sennheiser?
