Sennheiser 598 Question

hey Guys, Im looking to buy a sennheiser 598 but am a little concerned about its 10 feet cord..
can it be replaceable? i want to bring it around and walk aroudn with it but a 10 feet cord is absolutely preposterous. any ideas on what to do ?

Ive heard of people using custom cords for the HD 598s, might be a bit pricey though.  By the way you really shouldnt be walking around with these headphones lol.  They arent supposed to be portable and were meant for studio and home usage

I think the only one that would fit is the one straight from Sennheiser. You could just zip tie or rubberband it together. You could possibly modify a 2.5mm plug to get it to fit, but I think that could blow up the driver. I don't think anyone here has found a shorter cable that fits.

 

You could buy another stock cable and cut it and resolder it back together to make it shorter, but that'd be a pain.

 

Only way to replace the cable with something else is to drill holes into the shell and void your warranty. I don't suggest this.
