Currently have the Sony MDR-V700DJ's which have served me well for the past couple years, but now I have an urge to spend a little more money and upgrade to a better set. Reason being, the MDR-V700DJ's aren't particularly comfortable for longtime listening due to its supra-aural cups and their swivel cup design does me no good since I am no DJ. They were a great first pair of headphones but it is time to move on. My primary usage will be listening to music (mostly trance, r&b, hiphop, and instrumentals) through either my iPod or CD player (which has a line-out and was considering a small desktop amp for better quality sound). My preference in phones would be circumaural and closed somewhere around $300. And being anal I prefer to have the cord protrude from only one headphone instead of two.

;TLDR I want a new pair of Circumaural Closed headphones around $200-$300. Primary usage: Music (from both iPod and CD player) interested as well in getting a desktop amp down the line.

Here are a few I was interested in...

Audio-Technica ATH-A900

Beyerdynamic DT770

Denon AH-D2000

Let me know if there are any other good ones I should consider
