If the output is the same, then maybe we could port the F's app to the Z and get the same sound signature :)

I don't use sound enhancement on my F & Z.  The volume at the same at the identical loudness level.  The sound signature is difference like I've been saying with the F is more on clarity while the Z is more energetic with warmer tone.

The Z should be the favorite among heavy metal fan given its sound signature.  The warmer tone on the Z should work wonder with harsh metal recordings.

That's why Sony DAPs not for all.
I love different music, sometimes i can listen only metal and rock for months, sometimes i can find some interesting another style band and live with them in my ears for a long period.

Hip-hop (CunninLynguists great also all hip-hop is perfect), drum'n'bass (try Noisia, Black Sun Empire, they are superb), rock (like Radiohead) and others are really great and on a very high level.

Also phones question... It is not easy to make a good synergy. Thinking about top-tier Audio-Technica IEMs, but now some problems in budget.

It all comes down to your cans. Get grado if possible, they are pretty good with metal music.

I don't like the Z for heavy metal music.  Too tired to elaborate.

mad.gif- I notice that the volume is not enough for old records 80s to release the more bearable!
- If you can help me find additional programs for androyda are able to increase the volume on the player "Z" tell me, I will be grateful to you.
- If anyone here does not like my posts, I ask you to pass them, I like all of you have the right to write what I think!

Can you use an amp?  I still think you have a defective unit.  Are you using IEMs or full size phones?

- I wrote that spoils the appearance uslitel sound amplifier can raise the volume level but at the expense of detail.
- I need some free program or something that will improve the sound equalizer without creating distortions!
- From where you develop ideas? that my "Z:mad:" has a problem or defect!

BECAUSE THE Z HAS AMPLE VOLUME FOR ALL OF OUR NEEDS!!!!
Try this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.noozxoidelabs.eizo.rewirepro&hl=en

P.S. You'll need to disable the sound enhancements app to get this app to work.

Do you use the software equalizer on either of the players?

Kvud,

Have you try resetting a player?  Also, have you set the volume for "Music, Video, Games, & Other Media" to the max on your Z?

-I am doing almost the maximum.
- I found this equalizer, rebooted! player, turned on the music (via a standard player) but did not notice the changes.
- Can you tell me how in order to properly configure this equalizer which features you want to include and what to disconnect? I think the other owners "Z" will be interested in it.

I don't use any equalizer with my Z as I prefer "flat" setting.  I use JH13pro however.

X to Z

X is much more warm. As for me i don't like it, but you can see a lot of fans of X. Z is a good upgrade in terms of soundstage, separation, details. Z sounds much better for me. Size? Imagine that it is smartphone and this parameter became ok:)

OK, I am going to ask what I am sure is a seriously DUMB question. If this machine does not have a micro sd slot, how does one load audio and image files into its internal memory?

The F is more neutral, has better soundstage and more extended treble, while the Z has warmer sound making the sound more enjoyable rather than analytical.
