The Z sounds great stock standard. If you want to improve the audio, invest in some better earphones. The stock phones are pretty ordinary even if better than the ones which come with most devices. If you want more bass, buy phones with more bass. Using apps will not necessarily use the Sony drivers which undermines the whole reason for having the Z in the first place.

Yes, I believe that the sound of a great series but what I buy headphones to get a powerful bass? Thanks

I find the Audiotechnica CKS77's to have great synergy with the Z. Warm analog like sound with powerfull bass.

Yup, the stock audio engine is more than good enough.  Buy a decent pair of IEM to improve the sound and you will love your Z even more. To be quite frank, the headphone out of my Z isn't far behind the Z's line out + Headamp Pico Power amp using my JH13pro.

PhoneArena says 5-inch Cyber-shot and Walkman Xperia phones coming in Q3

The second is a 5-inch Walkman Xperia that will include an integrated amplifier chip.

Don't they all have in integrated amplifier already? Just usually not a great one.

Since this is rumored to be a Walkman, wouldn't it be nice if it was a version of the S Master MX?

Physically playback buttons I would love.

help understand this problem, the problem of video playback with a standard video player moves smoothly and the sound is very slow! I convert to MP4 format!

if you buy the Japanese version of the 64 GB, can I install an English menu? or is it just the Japanese?

I have the Japanese version 1070 and yes, you can set it up in English. Easy to do. After it is set up. No Japenese characters will appear.

you sell it?

If you are asking me if I will sell it, the answer is not any time soon.  The sound signature has tainted my love for my X player. I have a pair of x-10's that I was going to get rid of because it sounded horrible with the X. But the x-10 matches well with the Z probably because the Z has more power than my X and a wider soundstage.

The only thing that I would change as so many others have mentioned in this thread is the lack of physical buttons. Now is a good time to pick up one of these as the prices have fallen since they first came out.

If you want a physical button, get the A86x series, a direct replacement to the X.  However it is also discontinued.  I found it to sound stellar as well.
