NEW Sony Walkman Z Series mini review!!! - Page 198

I still have the feeling the update broke few things and doing a clean install makes sense. The overall feel and usability is better and battery seems to have improved, but need more time to confirm. Plus, it only takes few minutes and reinstalling apps from the Play store is very straightforward.

Sure, go ahead.

And do post your feedback wink.gif

Hmm are you guys able to play WAV files with the stock player after the ICS update?

Just trying it now and no problem with wav either.

What'd you try?
Reset or the 'clear data' option?

I was responding to the previous post wink.gif

I had done a full factory reset before you suggested the "clear data" thingy. Anyway, I am completely happy with my Z now and all is well. biggrin.gif

Thanks, I will probably have to reset it then... :(

Try clearing the app data first.

Tried this and also reset the entire device (including music) but only half the files seem to be working - just the files I recently transferred over... might have to rerip all my old music again :(

Are those 44Khz/16bit wav files? I think that the only ones compatible, with maybe 48/16? Maybe try Flac as Wav are a waste of space on such device.wink.gif

Yup they are.  They all worked fine before the ICS update.  I use WAV because I also have a couple iPods lol.  Though the google music play app seems to play the WAV files fine, just not any of the Sony software :(  Might just use it for now instead...

I am pretty sure a factory reset will fix it. It only take 5mn and another 10mn to reload all your apps.
