Yea, the stock player on iOS isn't bad. I actually think the stock player on the "Z" is much better. I've listened to music on my 4s, iPods and Z... The end result... 4s for Pandora in the car, iPod going to the kids and the Z is for music. I actually don't intend to be purchasing an amp either, as 60-70% volume on the Z with my Heir 4.A is enough for me.

I found the stock player on iOS to be no match to the Z's one. I just found the Z to be better as they even have folders. The SensMe is a nice touch too. Though I will admit that iOS's album art landscape flip through is quite good. However, I found the Z's "messed-up" album art finder to be pretty good as well, though not as handy. Overall, I just found the Z to be able to classify and be able to find music easier than the iOS. iOS feels more like picking any random song and play it. (something kids will do, like you said).

Lol!!! Like it really matters,...or I care. Now, be an adult and move on. You've derailed the thread long enough.

@nywytboy68 I think its time you moved onto another thread...you come here without having the player in question, making false acclaims that the volume cap can be lifted with an app, make digs at android, and continue to move the thread off topic, you are adding nothing...please leave!

But, that's why I hate Android,...you always need an app to do one thing or another.

With sensitive IEMs, even 1/3rd of the "Z"s volume is LOUD! What an amazing player this is! The more I use it... the more I like it. I love PlayerPro too! Who ever suggested it... THANK YOU!
...now all we need on the next revision of the "Z"... a "Z" lite... which is slightly smaller with hardware buttons. Does anyone know if there is a DOCK for the "Z" that has hardware buttons that you can use for play/pause, next track and back?

A Z2000 with the same thickness as the iPod Touch and a 4.0" screen instead of a 4.3' would be desired!

I'd even like one with a 3.5" screen. I don't need much to see that track name and maybe the album art. What would be nice too... is a reasonable price for the 64GB in the states, with Micro SD expansion.
Now, my question about the Dock... I'd like to see about checking the pin-out on said dock... then build myself a breakout box. I could add that with some really thin wire to my headphone cable, and leave my player in my pocket or my backpack.

If it's too small, videos won't be good on it, so I would think 4.0" is the perfect size. Seems like Sony is quite reluctant to put Micro SD expansion on their Walkmans. I personally would be happy if they even decided to put M2, memory stick pro duo or the PSvita card onto it.

The Z lite is definitely what is needed - Nail on head as there seems to be a gap in between the A series & Z series in terms of size and hard buttons. The A series can be classed as to small for some whilst the Z can be the opposite as to big.
The A series has hard buttons but in the wrong place if you have it in a pocket, Sony did not really think ergonomics through properly in their R&D room. Why the Z has no hard buttons I still cannot fathom out!
This would be my ideal Walkman - same size as Ipod Touch but with maybe a 3.5 - 3.7" instead.

Did not stop Sony packing oled for video into the X, quality was great but of course way too small for serious watching, not that video has ever been a must for me personally with a Sony Walkman but do see they are trying to appease across the board with the Z, a player that can do both as well as matching what their rival manufacturers offer.
My personal mark 2 Z Walkman would be a cross between the X & Z with like you said the same thickness as the iphone with a 3.7 screen like I mentioned but just put it in the X shell with those hard buttons and phone out on top of the player for those who like it in the pocket with easy access on the move and then I would be in heaven in a ergonomic sense with the Sony Walkman. Oh, and Sony please go back to doing brushed silver magnesium finish, screams style & elegance.

Why I mentioned having a 4.0" screen is because most android screens are that big or even bigger, therefore a bigger than iPhone screen will be needed to run at it's best. Even the iPhone is probably having plans of upgrading to a 4.0" screen.

I am coming from the pov the Walkman should be portable still at the end of the day and there is a gap between the A & Z series currently and the 3.5 or 3.7 screen is still fairly portable with having a screen that is not too small like the A series or X.
Is there some sort of technical drawback if android is running on a screen smaller than 4.0" then?
I can only imagine you are thinking maybe of in terms of clarity and screen resolution for video and app's?
There are phones that run android okay for functionality on 3-3.5 screens out there currently albeit would not be as good in many ways as the 4.0-4.3" screens but would still suffice just for for its navigation side on a Walkman just fine still purely as a music player and showing the album art and info.
If Sony did decide too just go 4.0 or bigger in future just because most android screens are that way to satisfy apps and video then sadly they are missing the point.
Sony as a business need to have a balance with a diversified range of screen sizes running android to cover all customers needs and cannot see why this will not be the case. A 3.5-3.7 screen model would compliment the A & Z series just nicely.
I think WayToCrazy was not so Crazy when he said we need a Z lite!

Sure, it's okay to have your own opinions. But I wouldn't want something too big nor too small. I think it would be missing the point if the screen size is too small (the A series is there for a reason). I personally would find the Galaxy Player's screen size perfect(4.0"). But of course it's just me, feel free to disagree.
DX100!!!!! Anyone? I mean in relation the an Android with small screen....
