Ok....I guess that is something important to consider as well.

 

I did think of Westone and Shure but there are so many models I don't know how they compare with each other - eg Westone have the Wx and UMx range.  I understand what you mean about customer service - Etymotic has been fantastic when ever I've had a problem, and the fact they are located across the pond made no difference whatsoever.

At the moment they are for sale for 99 GBP at ampcity. I paid 120 GBP and they are worth it.

From what I heard, the RE262 has the best mids. Bass is good, tight and puchy. Treble is smooth. Overall signature is musical, liquid and warm.
