Amp + DAC for AKG K240 Monitor

Just got these recently and I have to say they sound downright sad of a a laptop headphone jack. A bit better out of the Fiio E6, but still not enough. I didn't realize until now how badly hard-to-drive phones depend on amps... *note* these are the 600ohm version

 

I'd like to find an amp and a dac for these. I'd prefer a single unit (amp/dac), but definately wouldn't mind seperate units.

 

Budget is $500 (could only $50 higher realistically). I have no idea where to start so just fire away.

edit: DIY is fine...just nothing too difficult. I have no experience at all with DIY.

I'm still looking for suggestions, even though I think I'm with HRT Music Streamer  II+ and Little Dot MKIII.
