2.1 Speakers for Xmas

Thread Starter

So I recently bought a new computer (for around $1 200) and I either use my monitor's speakers or my headset or my IEMs, which gets annoying. So I'm wondering what you experts might suggest for 2.1 speakers. Also I don't have a dedicated sound card which is kind of bad I suppose. My budget is $200. Thanks all! :)

EDIT: I'm located in Canada, so Canadian websites & prices would be nice.

You can see my thoughts on a couple of the more popular "high end" computer speakers here: http://www.head-fi.org/t/584176/mv40s-for-computer-speakers-promedia-2-1-and-z2300-discussed

High end in quotes because high end computer speakers don't exist. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread too in case no one answers mine since we're asking similar questions.

Hey Now,

Buy a cheap T-amp from Parts Express and get a pair of the . . .

1 Pioneer SP-BS41-LR Bookshelf Loudspeakers (Pair) by A. Jones, 130W, 1” Tweeter, 5.25” Woofer

On today's sellout.woot.com. Good price and very good speaker. Well under 200 bucks.
