These now dropped to $200 and in my eyes that's worth it.

Was considering the denon's but availability wasn't great + price was at around £200+

Ok + they dropped even further as if you sign up tot he newsletter (take 1min) you get 10% off additionally...!

$179/£115 incl shipping for the beast pro? WIN

Hey guys, I would love someone here to have the sony XB500/700's and compare them to the beats pro's if possible :)?

Would be great to get a comparison + is there ANY where I can find beats pro vs beats pro fakes? I know it exists....just can't find any info on them :/

Just a little worried after I saw a youtuber post fake studios that he bought from the monster outlet store...from MONSTER themselves.

Here's a pretty honest comparison/review for you.

These are the studios though :/

And thing is most reviews, opinions base the beats pro's at the £300+ price range = here I totally agree, they ARE NOT WORTH IT. But anyone ever seen at the cheaper price of £115, how do they fair?

+He has the XB300's...

I have the XB700's and that is probably a better comparison with my beats pro - great video though, but doesn't apply to me, unless your just hatin' on monster, then...that's just something else.

At $179? In all honesty, the Beats Pro wasn't that bad, the only thing that kills it is the price. I feel like there are stronger alternatives, but I think that's a fine deal as far as the bassy headphones go.

see that's what I'm thinking.

I can't find bassy, big (so that it fits my ears), over-the-ear headphones for that price.

If there is then let me know - but it seems like everything, incl sennheiser, akg etc, are MUCH more expensive, or do not give the same response as the beats pro's will give AT THAT PRICE RANGE.

If I make that $250 or $300 then I would say, hell no, get the denon's (saw the graphs etc) even though i prefer the tighter bass of the monsters.

I will try to go around in France (god help me lol) to find some to demo.

I'm mainly now concerned about the comfort, as they are BIG, heavy headphones.

+ I think the actual padding is not that much, especially vs my HUGE CUSHIONS (XB700's) :D!

Ok well I went to a store - and luckily found one that demos the monster beats pros.

Beats pro cons:

-Heavy on ears

-Small cup

-Feels tight to the ear, not very comfortable

-Mids/highs, were a little too bright for my taste, I played the music loud....and it was very bright. Problem here is that it really needs to be driven by something

-RRP

-At £115 I would say a fair price, but you wouldn't wear them outside, nor want to wear them for a long time...

-3.5mm Jack could have been designed better

-Not enough cushion...i mean fro a £300 set or something, they really ought to.

Pros:

-Bass response

-Tight, controlled and thumping bass

-Looks?

-Cable is VERY strong

-Daisy-chain = doesn't loose any volume or SQ

-Design, not too "open" and goes around your head perfectly (unlike some other headphones)

-Foldable, so good for portability

-Mids highs weren't lost in the bass, but were also very strong, sometimes too much

Overall:
I would pay around £100 for them, but they don't "fit" me, nor what I'm looking for.

Mids/highs uncomfortable, cup too small, not enough cushion between ears and driver

Might look in the denon d2000's or some V-Moda's in the future, but atm, I'll put my headphone search at a stop at the moment.

V-MODA Crossfade M-80's - So I have been reading reviews of these and they might be more suited for me, however looking at it, it seem the cup is quite small, smaller than the beats pro, and thus something I might not look at.

Anyone have any suggestions by interest :)?

And in terms of portability: I actually tried the XB500's and wow, they do have a much tighter bass, lower soundstage that said, but still very nice tight bass, quite enjoyable really.

Might even purchase them...
