Headphones for Employees

Thread Starter

I work in a call center and we have to regularly listen to recorded calls and grade the representative that took the call on various components. There is a team of people who do this. My boss is looking to provide some decent headphones so the people on that team don't have to bring in their own. What headphones would you recommend for us to use? They need to be capable of being driven by a computer's sound card, comfortable enough to wear for most of an 8 hour day, and good at reproducing the human vocal range. We will not be listening to music on these. Lastly, they need to be inexpensive enough for me to convince my boss that they would be worth the investment. If I can keep it to $40-$60 that would be ideal.

I recommend the Creative Aurvana Live!  They can be found for $60 and are one of my favorite sub $100 cans.  They are very comfortable and light so wearing them for hours is not an issue.

I'd suggest the Beyerdynamic DT-235 found here:

Cheaper closed Sony or Sennheiser over-ears should be very good. Employees in my previous work had them - they were nice, especially Sony. They cost around your price level. They also have long cable (3m). Unfortunately I don't remember the specific models, but you might check the Sony website.
