Best value amp for AKG Q701? Budget: roughly $400. Maybe $500 max.

I know similar threads exist, but I thought I would try starting a new one.

My Q701 headphones are arriving today as well as a FiiO E10. But I know the E10 probably isn't going to drive these cans very well. Open to suggestions. A few I have seen mentioned are the Matrix M-Stage and Audio GD C2 and a few mentions for the E9 as well. I remember a few people mentioning the Schiit Lyr as a good option as well.

Anyone have additional recommendations, observations, or comments about any of these amps paired with the AKG Q701? Thanks!

plan on getting a better DAC in the near future as well. My library is about 95% lossless so I should be in okay shape at least for now. Thanks again.

use the e10 as a dac, and get the M-stage, or Lovely Cube - both are clean (related) solid state designs, with enough power and damping factor to control the phone well.

HRT II + m-stage matrix

if u have the fund, go bitfrost instead of HRT II

although i hav never heard the combination, apparently m-stage do well with AKG
