Which camera did you use? Photo looks sharp!
All I've got is a G10. Thinking of upgrading to a GX1, but that means the 8.A will have to wait =(

I used a Coolpix 4300. A far cry from the PowerShot G10, not to mention the DMC GX1.
Nicely done! I think it's difficult to shoot the internals without a macro lens!
Had the G10 for 4 years now, it needs an upgrade!
I didn't take perfect pictures of the internals, but I they're okay, thanks to my copying your idea.
I'll use them for my review, unless I can borrow a better camera and take better pictures before then.
Sinocelt, your photo looks fantastic! Very nicely taken. If that photo's not doing them justice, I can't even begin to imagine how great they must look in person. I'm really loving that blue carbon fiber.
All the credit goes to SaintKeat. I shamelessly stole his screen-as-underlight idea, only replacing the smartphone by a laptop. This clever trick really brings out details that were absent from my previous pictures.
I got compliments from girls; that's how good they look.

What a fantastic idea by SaintKeat! I never even thought about doing that and I may very well steal that idea also.. heh
.
Yes they really do look amazing.
WIll you be posting a review on them any time soon?
Probably not soon, no. I still need to use them as studio monitors, starting with a microphone shootout. I don't have the musical experience of many members here, nor do I have other earphones or headphones in the same price range, so I can't write comparisons as pertinent as project86's and SaintKeat's. On the other hand, I've got for a few thousand dollars of microphones, and access to more. What I lacked was a studio monitor, which I now have in the A.4. I'll use it to compare recordings made with sometimes very similar microphones (such as the MD-431 and MD-431-II). But to do that, I need to book a studio, and later to borrow internationally other microphones I want to try and compare for an upcoming project. It's a little complicated to set up, since I must be able to borrow stuff right and left for the same dates, so it'll take time. But when I'm done, I'll be able to tell you how the A.4 fares as a professional tool, from recording to sound engineering.

Sounds like you've got quite a different kind of review coming up with all these expensive microphones. Well, glad to hear that the 4.A is a great monitor, good luck with your shootout.
I plan to order from the Wizard very soon and all this talk about his amazing work has me even more excited now.
@Sinocelt - Very interesting method of reviewing! I'd definitely look out for that. Which of the models will you be reviewing? (or all of them? =P)
@kckc - His work is so good, I'm considering blowing my camera budget for the 8.A. Just THAT exciting!
ditch the camera for the 8.A
Only the A.4. I'll be using a dozen different microphones, though. I've got five here (M930 art, MKH 416, MD 441, MD 431-II, MD 431), so I'm gonna start with that to test the waters and make sure everything goes smoothly with the studio I've contacted (they also have a couple microphones I'd like to include in my shootout, including a U87ai). If everything works out fine, I'd like to borrow four other microphones from three different companies, and a friend also offered to lend me others. The shootout would use short spoken samples to start with, then vocals and instruments depending on budget: I'm ready to invest more if I'm lent more microphones. Studio time ain't free, and with a dozen microphones to compare, you can count one day of work per "instrument" (speech one day, vocals another, etc.). I'd also need to compensate the performers.
Thanks for the review very nice new CIEM's we have here!
Is the UM Mage similiar to the Heir 4.A?
Sinocelt can answer that, but I'm willing to bet my entire wad that it sounds different by a mile!
The 3.A beats the Mage in every aspect except bass slam. If the 3.A is that good, imagine how good the 4.A is
I noticed you mentioned a DIY thread in your review, so I was hoping you could shed some light on the actual drivers, you see the the 4.A and UM Mage both share the same setup.
2 x bass driver, 1 x mid, 1 x high, 3-way xo.
Your bass slam comments are quite confusing.
