Just got this yesterday.  These are the newest headphones from Klipsch.  Stay tuned for my initial impressions.

Heya,

On-ear, I take it? Not a full size headphone?

Very best,

I am a bit disappointed that the cups sit on ear, not over the ear.  The sound quality is not as I expect from Kliosch Reference.  Hope it will improve after a good break in.

This is essentially the Image ONE with beautiful orange accents and premium cabling/badging for a few dollars more, right? Is Klipsch claiming the sound is different? I haven't read any promotional materials to that effect.

These sound a lot better through iPhone 4s. Awful with an amp.

I am testing it for road use with my 11" MacBook Air.  It actually sounds pretty good straight out of the headphones jack from the Air.  AudioMidi set to 24/88.2K and iTunes.

Any chance you could inform as to how different these sound from the regular Image One on-ears?

I don't have the Image One so I can't comment on how this compares.  Sorry.

I think the body is exactly the same as the old image one; but with a driver re-tune and and an accent color change. The price on the old image one is $150.

I didn't really like the fit on the image one when I tried it, there too small.

I wish the cups covered my ears instead of on ear.

I find circulaural headphones to be too bulky for portables. all my portables are on ear.

I bet the Z700 for $72 sounds better than these.

Considering that the Z700 are a modern headphone in the V6 price range, I'd be willing to bet that too. The clarity and all that wasn't bad, but the original Image One were fart cannons, way too much bass.

truth is, is really hard to find good on ear cans for less than 100 bucks. the better ones are in the 200 range. although you can get the HD25-1-II BE for like 160, and that is too damn hard to beat on my book.
