Hey Isis :
PM Flysweep he has owned the BA 200's and I believe he may still have his Sony XBA30's.
He is currently working with T Peos H 200's and he may still also have the Hifiman Waterline RE 400's.
He is amazingly insightful and thorough in hisexplanations. A true gentleman and headphile. It was his
PM's that convinced me to buy the TDK's. They are phenomenal. I will not readily go to something else...although
I originally lusted after another pair of 200's. The T Peos! They just took to long. My setup is ridiculously front end weighted right now
but my Neco V3 and TDK's, which were originally for my Portable, scale up ridiculously well. On vocals the combo is superlative.
My front end is currently a somewhat older dual core Athlon all in one touch run on Jplay in full hibernate in the new Ultrastream mode. I
use a much older home built Athlon dual core as my control PC wirelessly connected in Audiostreamer configuration to control the Audio
PC. I had those so not a biggie...but then I got silly and got an Ultra Fi NOS 16 bit dedicated USB dac designed by Larry Moore for a
great price on Audiogon. I had it upgraded to current spec...put an Aubisque filter and Aubisque USB cable on it. That is all really
intended for a good DIY stereo system I am gradually working on. I can tell you that the Neco and the TDK take it all in stride and
let me hear everything it does. I have tweaked my digital setup relentlessly and even the most subtle things are quite noticeable.
I stole my BA 200's on ebay, they were 1 week old without the small foam tips. I must say that I prefer them to the Grado Refrence 1's I
had about 5 years ago. So I've got a couple thousand on the front end...hehehehe...and a couple hundred on the tail and I just can't
believe how incredibly satisfying the combo is. I am not in any hurry to finish my gainclones and Single Driver Transmission lines.
