Apparently it's not only in the higher frequencies with hidden detail… though the thinner presentation of the B2 leads to better separation but I just can't go back to its sibilance.

Sibilance? Maybe you're just inclined towards warm signatures.

Possibly… and it's also possible that it's the track that's sibilant as I hear similar but less harshness on the BA200. When using the Brainwavz B2 with foam tips however, the sibilance is non-existent but the highs become attenuated to the extent that the highs and treble of the BA200 are more noticeable.

I asked this question earlier in the thread but failed to receive an answer so I will ask it again here. Does anyone know which etymotic filter removal tool is compatible with the BA200?

lol, I tried using makeshift tweezers but it was too difficult. I am aware that etymotic makes a tool that functions to remove filters/dampers, the problem is there are multiple tools. I need to know which tool it is I need.

Looking here once you remove the sticky meshing you would just use the standard ER4S filter remover. Which on my set is basically just the end of a screw you drive into the filter, (which usually destroys the filter in the process) because you basically drill into it. I can however remove them intact by going in on an angle. (sometimes)

Ok I just bought the ER38-45 which looks very similar to the tool embedded by H20Fidelity. I think this tool will work with my BA200 as I had originally bought the ER38-45E which was too thin to grab the BA200's damper.

Errr well this is the one included in the BA200 package:

But it's much more rudimentary than what you guys posted. And it's only used the replace the filter (the mesh) not the other type of filters you guys seem to be talking about!

Has anyone tried to recable their BAs? I'm thinking that maybe a silver cable would improve treble rolloff? Also, not a huge ribbon cable fan.

Let me know!

If this hasn't been answered already: You shouldn't.

Apparently the resistor (or something like that) for that treble drivers are in the cable.
