It was originally 7200 but when I got it, the price was already up to 8.1k php. Seems your considering w2 or ba200. The cable of the westone is one of the most pleasant I've had. I unfortunately don't have experience with the w2, only the UM3X. Given the price to performance of UM3X vs BA200, I'd say the BA200 is a win here. Its a very solid IEM. try listening to some Up Dharma Down with them :) Hmmm.. if you're getting them from egghead as well, I'd feel a bit more relaxed because they do have really good customer service :)

Got my BA200 from Egghead as well for P7200. The first one was a dud where the left channel was about 1-2db softer than the right channel. Very small imbalance, but it killed the soundstage for me. They were kind enough to replace my unit. They have EXCELLENT customer service and after sales support.

Noted, I've bought all of my gear from egghead and have never had any problems.

Just got my ba200 and i felt the sound was thinner but clearer than my dynamics, i hear that it gets thicker over time, is it true?

It's called burn-in, both to the new IEM and your eardrums.

Try play audiophile recording from great Jazz, Folks, Blues songs and instruments play and you'll start to realize BA200 trail all your experience from dynamic behind with it ability to separate all components in a fine recording clearly and also providing very good soundstage that you're seldom heard from an tiny IEM.

Although it's nowhere near an good audiophile grade audio equipments setup, but it's good enough for a self enjoy close entertainment.

Just purchased mine from Amazon for $135 and should be here in 7 days or less! I'm coming from the SE115, CX485, Random cheap buds, and CAL! closed can. I can't wait and hope to be able to use them for all music genre's and movies in conjuction with my E07k.

 

How long is the recommended burn in and what method, do a lot of people use?

I had a similar issue... turns out I wasn't getting a good seal with the stock dual flanges... so I switched to some single flanges and they sealed better, the sound is just right now. They are about on par in thickness with my gr07 (dynamic). BTW the general consensus is they wont change with burn in. Try messing around with getting a good seal and try different tips and insertion depths. Otherwise it could be that your dynamic iems are midbass heavy and in comparison the BA200 sound thin in comparison?

it tried the complys and it sounded better overall, the biflange gets a good seal on my left ear, but not on my right which may be the problem.

 

usually wear some of my older iems (left) single sided. im hoping my right ear will adjust in time to the stock biflanges. and give me a better seal. 

Is there a way you can tell if your getting the optimal seal or not?

^you'll notice the bass gets fuller, try pressing it in softly. 

 

 

do the biflanges get more comfortable over time?(do i get used to it in time?) or do they stay at that low comfort level no matter how much i use em?

they seemed to get a little softer for me, or perhaps flexible?  and perhaps i got used to them as well, but I would say a little bit yes.  but depending on how low the comfort is i can't say it will change your mind.  However, when i first put them in i found them pokey and sort or all over the place with fit, sort of loose, but not really in the seal.  then they started to feel more flexible and i started to insert them quicker and easier without messing around.  that's me anyway.

the biflanges was a weird experience for me. i don't know if it's just my ears though.. yes they sound great at times, but sometimes the angle of how they're inserted in my ears drastically makes a difference as well. sometimes it sounds mute on certain angles and great in others. I gave up finding the sweetspot for it because i don't want to have to adjust and readjust everytime i use them. 

The same thing happened to me.  They were definitely position sensitive, however they got a little better for me, or else I got used to inserting them.  Either way.  I found that they settled in place better after a while and worked pretty well.  I personally always prefer standard silicone tips.  Even over comply foam tips.  They just fit smoothly, seal well, easy to clean, last longer, provide the best high frequencies usually...

While not my favorite universal (or favorite BA), the BA200 is so addictive the more you listen to it with a great seal and good isolating tips. It's very close to my favorite universal BA (the W4), and I do mean very close. The sound is wonderful and pretty much everything the admirers have stated. 

I have to say that I already kinda regret selling my BA200 but they're just so close to the same sound signature as my SM3 that I didn't think it was worth keeping them though they would have been a great back up if something ever happened to the SM3 but I have the Klipsch X10 for that now.  The BA200 is one of my all time favorite universal IEM's and is one of the top dual BA's you can get at any price range imo.
