I think this should start to be the appreciation thread, people have been talking about it in the BA200 thread so just move all IE800 comments to this thread from now on.

Oh dear.. I didn't know TDK BA200 price at Dallas are that steep. High price might probably due to the small quantity  number been imported by the agent/reseller.

In Singapore it was priced @ US$188 when it first launched. During promotion or you know the path, the price reduces to US130. Even with US$188 here, it was way cheaper than a Sony XBA-2/20 @US$286, FA DBA-02/MkII @ US$420~450.

No $250 was the retail price for them when they came out not just in Dallas or the US, go look a ClieOS website and thats what he had them listed as when he reviewed them.

Oh I see.. $250 was the retail price, not street price. I'm feeling very lucky already for the price I pay for BA200.

I know there was some that paid around that for them when they came out but like a lot 0f IEM's I want I wait a few months to see if the price drops and they usually do.  You can already find the $400 UE900 for around $350 now so in a few more months it will be closer to $300.

So I put these tips on the BA200 call Earportz. They are long hooked silicon tips with ridges on them that hook inside the ear canal the same way the stem of a custom cell would go inside of your ear. This really brings out the bass in the BA200 with interfering with the mids or highs. I'm enjoying this earphone that much more.

I hope you mean "without interfering". wink.gif Here's a picture if anyone was wondering:

I wonder if these would be the best silicone tips... I'm also curious how the new Westone Star silicone tips would sound on these.

Yep, that's it, and it actually doesn't feel uncomfortable, but may take some time getting use to for those who have never worn a tip that long and goes in so deep. If you have ever worn a custom IEM, this will be a breeze.

No. Even as long as that tip looks, it wouldn't go anywhere near your eardrum. And I mean nowhere near.

Where did you buy them from?
