I have been testing the ba200 with orchestral soundtracks as well as classical. Every thing from Hans Zimmer and Alan Silvestri to J.S. Bach and Tomaso Giovanni Albinoni...

I think they do very well. They sound more open and realistic than the gr07 mk2 in this genre. The pfe 112 are a good step up though if you want to feel like you're in the room with the orchestra. String articulation, swelling dynamics, and spatiality are all a step up. But if I wasn't comparing them, I'd recommend the ba200 from my testing so far. They are on the warmer side, but still well balanced.

Seems like these have dropped in price about another $5 at Amazon (down to about $135). Snatch them up while you still can!

Man I thought when I got them for $149 that they where going to stay at that price for awhile but it was before all the black Friday cyber Monday sales also.  At $135 they're the best bang-for-buck IEM you can get right now imo, they compare very well up against the SM3 which is close to 3 time the price depending on where you look.

IE800  is beating the Sony 7550 as one of my favorite mid-focused IEMs. Great instrument separation and imaging. Still tied with the RE262, but I can see the TDK pulling ahead. It's a very balanced and clear dynamic earphone. I've settled on the Monster grey foam hybrid tips to give me a nice deep low in this balanced-sounding IEM.

I take it that means you're going to go ahead and purchase a BA200 as well, eh? :)

You know how it is around here Techno Kid. I can't count how many times I've been done.

Think I may pull the trigger on these at this price. Sounds too tempting.

And so I have, fingers crossed.

Would the Triple flange from Shure work with these?

How do the sound stages of the BA200 and IE800 compare?

Dammit... Price of the BA200 is up to $144.99 and won't be in stock until December 6...
