TDK BA200 - Appreciation Thread - Page 22

My order has been placed! I shall return with my impressions when they've been fully formed.

The IE800 will be in my hands tomorrow morning. I'm looking forward to hearing them (although the V6  comes in the same day). This will be an interesting Friday.

TDK IE800 or Sennheiser IE800? Either way, was this post meant for another thread? confused.gif

If its in the TDK BA200 thread I'm sure its for the TDK IE800.  They should compare nicely with the BA200 from what ClieOS says.

i'm listening to the ba200 right now... pretty nice.... has good bass...

The have good bass for a dual BA, now there not going to have the impact of most dynamic drivers but imo they have really nice bass with good punch and depth down to 20Hz.  I don't know what IEM's you've heard but its comparable to the ME A161 though the A161 have a bit more punch.  They have more bass impact and better depth than the Westone W2 and on pair with the SE425 but I think the BA200 is a bit better.

TDK IE800, and yes the post was meant for this thread. The IE800 is suppose to have some similar qualities of the BA200, but in a dual dynamic instead of dual BA.

Okay, just checking. :)

Do you own or have you heard the BA200 to have a frame of reference in mind? I was looking for more comparisons between the BA200 and IE800 myself.

They way I heard ClieOS describe them seems like the IE800 is a dynamic driver version of the BA200, I'm sure they'll have some differences but over all TDK is good at keeping their IEM's and headphones to have that TDK house sound of warm and smooth with good detail.

I don't have the BA200, but might purchase it next week if I like the IE800 well enough.

Seeing some of the IEM's in your signature makes me think that you'd like the BA200, as you can see from mine I love them but the SM3 V2 I'm getting tomorrow might just give them a run for the money.

X2 ... I actually liked the SM2 more than the SM3. The SM3 was nice, but I felt the music was too close (no space). I sold the SM3 awhile ago, and the same guy just recently bought my SM2. They were good phones but I moved on. And I do like various sound signatures, although the JVC house sound is my favorite. I'm think that the IE500 will be close to the RE262 (especially in the mids) from what I've read.

No issues at all.

If you mean the ba200 fit, I'm just testing them new, and they are up there for comfort and stability for me.  They fit well and don't come out accidentally at all...
