Gift for under $50

Looking to give my cousin a pair of headphones for Christmas and was wondering what would be recommended at $50 (preferably $30) each? thanks!

Superlux HD668B


It's probably the best cans in that price range, and even better than some cans that are more expensive.

I agree with this comment. If not the HD668B consider the CAD Audio MH310. It's a closed Superlux rebrand.

I own both and I prefer the Superlux a lot more.

People who aren't into head-fi might not recognize the brand Superlux, thus making it a cheap ****ty headphone in their eyes. I'd go for a more recognized brand in this case, like a Panasonic, Sony or something along those lines.

 

That is if TS' cousin looks at brands and doesn't listen to the sound quality as analytical as some of us do. wink.gif
