What is wrong with my Sennheisers?

Sometimes, when I listen to my HD380s lately, I hear strange "artifacts" in the sound.
At first, I thought I might just be going through the whole "hearing details that I never heard before" thing, but then I realized that some of the sounds were simply wrong, and didn't fit in with the music.
For example, on one CD, I heard a sort of clicking that almost could have been a percussion sound, but was out of rythm (and later it seemed like the vocals were "jerking" along with it.)
On another, I heard something that could have been the CD skipping, except it wasn't there when I played the same track again on different headphones.

This is upsetting because these 'phones are only a couple of years old, plus they are studio monitors, which means they should stand up to far more abuse than they have ever gotten from me!

Any idea what might be going wrong, or what to do about it?

Try another CD player, maybe some problems with the internal power supply. Usually, noise issues come with an aging lentil.

"clicking noise", is rarely a headphone driver noise imo.
