I have the Yamaha CDX-730 CD player thats 18 bit, 8X, and was curious what the very first CD player was that was 18 bit, 8X, and from my online research it apparently was the Sony CDP-707 ESP from 1988....I remember when it came out it got rave reviews in magazines such as CD Review etc and others....It was built like a tank, with extremely robust and high end components....I was curious if anyone uses that particular player currently?
