DAC pairing for Little Dot MK IV SE

I just got my MK IV SE in the mail today and i've been using it with my iBasso D6 as a source, which sounds pretty good, but i'm looking for more of a dedicated at home solution.

What do you think?

I'm trying to stay in the $400 to $500 range, some of the products i've considered are the Audio-GD NFB-2.1 and the NFB-5.

Ideally if money was no object i'd be looking at the Burson DA-160 or Centrance DACmini.

I think Little Dot makes a DAC that can be paired with either their CD player or anything with an optical/coaxial/usb connection. I would hope it would pair well with their amps smily_headphones1.gif

I'm currently using my iBasso D6 as a DAC for my MK IV, I really like Audio-GDs stuff on paper but i've never heard any of it first hand.

i'm thinking my may get either the NFB2.1 dedicated DAC or maybe the NFB5 which is also a headamp,

I wish the Eastern Electric MiniMac DAC was about half price and i'd already own one :)

NFB5 gets my vote. Solid dac, and solid amp - giving you the option to swap to solid state for some cans, or run the little dot...

I keep thinking the same myself but I can't help but wonder what I may be missing with a Sabre ES9018 based DAC.

I brought the Little Dot DAC_I to go along with the MK IV SE, and while I don't have a lot of experience with different DACs I have been very pleased with it. I don't use the MK IVE SE anymore (went to solid state to better suit a different pair of headphones) but I still use the DAC_I as my source.
