Just how bass heavy is the SR 225i?

I've got a pair of HD555, and as I listen to a lot of Hardstyle (electronic music), the bass is really lacking, even after the "mod." Looking into getting a new pair, and I've heard good things about Grado for quite a while, and the SR225i is right in my price range, but I'm really looking for something bassier.

Grados are all mid-bass. They have next to nothing under 50 Hz, and most of the volume's at 80-120 Hz. You want more sub-bass for most electronic music.

That's what I thought I'd read at some point; any good suggestions at that general price-point ($200-250), Beyerdynamics, maybe?

Beyer DT770 PRO

Ultrasone PRO 650

Panasonic HTF600

Shure SRH750 DJ

Denon D2000 (used)

Sony XB500

Fischer Audio FA-003 (or Brainwavz HM5 rebrand)

Add Digizoid ZO2.

Boom.

Very best,

Any suggestions for impedance on the Beyers? I've got an E7, if that counts for anything. I also can't find much in the way of deals on the D2000s, what about the D1100s?

Anything upwards of 250ohm should be fine.

Very best,
