I keep electrocuting my KSC75's

Recenly I bough a new chair, I'm not sure bout details by it keeps supercharging me, statically. I keep electrocuting people at first touch. Which is rather fun :)

 

The problem is I'm also electrocuting my ksc75's, a occasionally spark from my ear jumps to the metal part. Even when I wear them unplugged I can hear a sound from driver every time a spark jumps. Is this damaging to my ksc75 or my PC? can static is powerfull enough to hurt it?

does anyone knows if the static is strong enough to hurt headphones?

dunno, but if it hasn't hurt them yet I expect it will not.

 

Have you considered either grounding the chair or using an anti-static wrist strap (like used for computer repair)?
