Cowon media centre

Thread Starter

Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this.

I have just bought a Cowon X7 player to use FLAC files with. I am trying to using the jet media software provided to create the FLAC files. It seems easy enough to configure but every time I start to RIP a CD it only does the odd track numbers. I tried to RIP in a different format and that works fine. When I go back to FLAC it goes back to only ripping the odd number tracks. Does anyone have any ideas or can anyone suggest a music management software options that I can use to RIP and manage my music on the Cowon.

Many Thanks

In principle any decent media player can do the job.

As you need FLAC support, have a look at JRiver media Center or their free Jukebox.

Both support ripping and sync with a portable.

The best ripper is probably dbPoweramp. Faster than JRiver and better meta data. Also an excellent format converter.

MusicBee is a good alternative too.

Perfect, I just found my favorite music player. Jriver looks nice too. Going to see if it supports transferring music to Apple devices.

On topic: I previously used foobar2000 for all my converting needs.
