Christmas present for self. Suggestions?

Hey guys! I'm new here so if this is the wrong place to post, please let me know. I'm currently using a pair of Sony MDR 7506's, which strangely enough, I've hardly seen on the forums. My next purchase is possibly Audio Technica M50 but it seems like there's several models? I normally listen to classical but I listen to just about everything except country. Think the M50 is a good match for me? And for a budget of $200 (not including phones) what should I get for an amp and DAC? I have a set of Acoustic Energy Aegis One speakers so preferably compatible with those too. Thanks for the help guys! I've never going back to those crappy iPhone earbuds again!

MDR-V7506's are actually pretty good...

 

If you listen to classical seriously, I'd give a pair of Grado SR-225's a try. Even for people who don't like Grados, the SR-225 model is where everything starts changing relatively a lot from the earlier models.

 

HFI 580's are another good one, I'd skip the M50's in favor of those

I see. I'll have to do some more research then. What about an amp or DAC? I'm new so I'm not sure if it's really necessary at this point. I bought the HiFiman HM 101 but it's susceptible to interference. I'm not sure if that's normal or what but I've stopped using at this moment. What do you think?
