Is this possible.... 3.5mm mini TOS to USB

Not sure if this is even possible.

 

Using Fiio E7 and love to use the USB audio in from my Mac

 

I use lossless and have a couple of airport express units that have optical out via a 3.5mm mini TOS

 

If it possible to convert the optical out from the express unit to a USB audio stream for the Fiio to understand?

Not possible, unless you put an PC between the TOS and USB, then use the PC like an overpriced smart converter..

I thought as much.

 

 

I also have the E9 amp what if I got the Fiio D3 to pair with the E9?

 

How good do you thing the D3 would be?
