I have the VIA VT1708 on my motherboard. Just wondering how this fairs. And if i should be doing more listening on my computer that has this chip or with my ipod touch 2G with it's Cirrus Logic CS4398 which is also used in the $100 ASUS Xonar DX dedicated sound card http://www.via.com.tw/en/products/audio/codecs/vt1708/
