Thanks in advance for any advice/feedback.

I've been enjoying the heck out of my Little Dot III and Grado 60i combo for a few months.  I have been saving up some funds and am about ready to make a purchase towards the middle/high end range of the Grado line up perhaps.

Currently, I have the Xonar Essence as the DAC, Little Dot III as the Amp, and again, the 60i as my only set of cans.  Currently, I am seeking a greater detailed listening experience.  I have been a percussionist for 20 years, and am especially interested in what headphones can provide me with nuances such as really being able to hear the stick heads make contact with the ride cymbals, clear instrument fade, etc.  My price range is up to $700 at this point.  I really think I want to stick with the Grado due to fear of the Senn's coloring of the presentation most people experience(although I hear the Rs2 is fairly warm)  So, without further rambling, here are a few questions...

1.  Will my mid-range amp with tubes provide me with enough "flexibility" with tube options so that I can actually tell a greater difference with say my Mullards vs. the soviet tubes I have with higher these higherend headphones?  Truthfully told, I hear only subtle differences with my low-end Grado's when currently rolling...

2.  I was thinking of the 325i, Rs1i, Rs2i, or Ps-500 as probable contenders.  Of these three, which ones would provide the greatest level of "accuracy or clarity" in terms of instrument definition?  I don't find the 60i fatiguing in the least, or forward with the treble....

3.  Will my current Little Dot III limit the potential of say, the Rs1i to truely make it worth while to go beyond the 325s?  (again, understanding that each of these headphones are very distinct in their tonal qualities/analysis.

Again, I'm most interested in a detailed listening experience, and don't really fear anything being too analytical.  But then again, I have very limited headphone experience..

Many thanks,
