Original AK100 is as noted above and on the link at 42ohms OI, which is why people got theirs modded to 1ohm.

There is a new version of AK100 released at 3ohm which is only Japan release so far, so i guess A&K have been listening.

i think still 3 ohms is poor.............considering the steep price!!

they have an obligation after charging such steep money

My Hifi-M8 has a switch for 1,2 and 11 ohm settings.
I have found the 2ohm best for my portable headphones and also hi end IEMs i have tried (fit ear, the latest Shure flagship etc).
I also tried the AK120 and found the 3ohm was fine.

like the hifiman options.

but what for iem's with impedance of 12 ohms or less

i heard that impedance of player should be at least one eighth of impedance of earphones??

like xba-3 i am getting soon have impedance of 12 ohm and i would need, theoratically i.5 ohm source or less to drive them
