Don't be worried, my T1 was made using a closed jaw impression. Silicone will expand when it warms up and unless you are planning on singing I'm sure it won't be an issue.biggrin.gif

@shamrock, no i won't be singing! i can already hear my voice with my iem's now and wouldn't want to subject anyone else to that!

It's definitively a beautiful color, wonder how it would harmonize / look with a transparent faceplate.

I prefer fuller colors like wine red, but the view to the drivers is amazing:

I've decided 100% that I am gonna get me a set of 8.A. I think I will go with a wood face w/inlay, just have to decide what I want. At first I was against the wood, but looking at the pictures it has grown on me. I will also send in my JH13s for a new shell, as well as get my W3's shelled as well.

Please advise whether i should opt for freight prepaid or freight collect.

I assume freight prepaid = cost of return shipping is billed together with the item.. freight collect= ???

55USD is quite a sum..

inlay = protective layer on the wood?

anyway 2 reshells + 8.A... wow!

Inlay = Adding a second piece of wood into the woodplate.

Thanks! I cant really tell from the pictures though.

Well at some of the woodie pictures, it's quite obvious that the faceplate isn't just one plate of wood. It's more obvious with the ones mixing what seems to be different kinds of wood.

The inlay is 50$ per inlay by the way, just fyi. Definitely adds a classy touch to the design with inlays though, despite what might appear to be a high price.

I just fired off an email to the good Dr. with some questions before I place my order. I am eagerly awaiting his response.

He's usually very quick to respond and a really nice guy. He answered all the questions I had no matter how dumb they might have been.

Over 5 hours and no response. I guess I have to be a bit more patient.
